Pamukkale, which has a unique view with a series of earthquakes 400 thousand years ago, with travertines formed by thermal waters in Büyük Menderes pool, offers a visual feast to its visitors.

Water saturated with calcium carbonate evaporates under the sun. After the cottony appearance of the white gel travertines that appear in the first place, the structure solidifies and the surface turns into crystallized rocks.

Due to the softness of its original travertines and its white color like cotton, there are 17 hot water areas in the region named Pamukkale in the temperature range of 35-100 ° C.

The thermal water coming out of the source, covers a distance of 320 meters and becomes the travertine. From here, it spills up to 240-300 meters by pouring into travertine layers.

In addition, as a result of the excavations, many historical ruins were obtained in the ancient city, which is also used as an archeology museum.
